This weekend is the International Napoleonic Fair, held at Kingston Maurward House, Dorchester, Dorset, on 3–4 october, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the conflicts of 1809. The weekend’s events include the return of the famous 95th Rifles, as seen in “Sharpe”, plus the French Infantry from Napoleon Bonaparte’s Imperial Army. New this year are the Royal Armouries’ original working Napoleonic Guns, which will be giving live firing demonstrations during the weekend, a large model of the Battle of Waterloo and living history encampments, as well as author book signings including Gareth Glover and Carol Duvall.
If you’re interested in the Napoleonic Wars, the International Napoleonic Fair is for you – and if you wanted to immerse yourself in the period, ready for the show, we have a number of related Napoleonic books available on our UK and US websites. One of our booksellers, Ken Trotman Ltd, will be attending the show so be sure to drop by their stand.
