Remembering the “Filthy Thirteen”

We are always pleased to find video of one of those rare moments when World War II veterans talk about their war time experiences. Groups like The American Veteran’s Center in Arlington, VA,  play a crucial role in insuring that future generations know the stories of these brave men. Here’s one such story told by Robert Cone, one of the “Filthy Thirteen”, as only he could tell it.  If you have a link to a favorite veteran’s story or interview, please do share!

You can meet the “The Filthy Thirteen’s” Bob Cone, Jack Wormer and Jake McNiece at The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum’s 20th Anniversary World War II Weekend being held June 4-7 in Reading, PA.  This year’s show is sure to be the biggest yet!
