Casemate busy preparing for Historicon 2010 (July 8-11)

Casemate is getting ready for this year’s HISTORICON   at the Valley Forge Convention Plaza.

Just in case you didn’t know…HISTORICON is THE historical miniatures gaming convention in the United States. Each year, thousands of avid gamers enjoy what the New York Times has described as the “mother of all war gaming conventions.”  There will be hundreds and hundreds of games, the world’s biggest war game hobby shop, painting events, seminars, and much, much more. Don’t miss the fun!

Exhibitor room hours are:
Thursday Noon – 6 PM

Casemate’s Simone Drinkwater hosting her regular seminar to talk about Casemate in more detail and provide you with exclusive highlights of future publications: Casemate Seminar – Exclusive Insights Into The Military Book World (Fri. 11 AM)

Bruce Bassett-Powell will be presenting a seminar about the Armies of Bismarck’s Wars, by Author and Artist (Thurs. 11 AM); He will also be available for ‘Meet & Greet’ at our booth.

Prof. John Gill, author of Thunder on the Danube as well as chapters, articles, and papers presented to the Society for Military History, the Consortium on the Revolutionary Era, and the German Studies Association, will be presenting two Napoleonic seminars – Massena’s Last Fight: The Battle of Fuentes de Oñoro, 3-5 May 1811 (Fri. 1 PM), and Transition from War to Peace after Wagram: The Battle of Znaim, 10-11 July 1809 (Fri. 4 PM), and  ‘Meet & Greet’ and book signing at our booth(Fri. 3 PM). 

Mike Guardia is presenting a seminar based on his new book – American Guerrilla – about a forgotten Hero of the Pacific War…The Harrowing tale of Russell Volckmann (Sat. 2 PM) and a  ‘Meet & Greet’ and book signing at our booth (Sat. 3 PM).

Doug Nash, author of Hell’s Gate: The Battle of the Cherkassy Pocket January to February 1944, will be available for  a  ‘Meet & Greet’ and book signing at our booth (Sat. 1 PM).

Phillip Tucker will be presenting a seminar from his new book about Exodus from The Alamo…  Exploding the Last Stand Myth (Fri. 1 PM) and a  ‘Meet & Greet’ and book signing at our booth (Fri. 2 PM). Come see what all the buzz is about!

We will have  a wide variety of books available from both Casemate and our client publishers.
