The Casemate crew has returned to business as usual after a successful week in Arizona! It was great to see so many avid modelers and military history fans make it out to Phoenix, where temperatures soared to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The beautiful and newly-expanded Phoenix convention center proved the perfect venue and offered a welcome break from the heat.
We were thrilled to witness the IPMS/USA National Contest, a world-class modeling competition which took place throughout the convention and invited laymen and experts alike to admire the intricate models. Categories included aircraft, military vehicles, ships, and dioramas, as well as juniors and pre-teen divisions. The show also featured an array of vendors, from modelers and artists to publishers and historians, and even provided live modeling demonstrations for the youngest attendees. Casemate was proud to be part of such a diverse offering that indicated military history is alive and thriving.
Many thanks to all those who were able to stop by the Casemate booth. We enjoyed catching up with friends and speaking with both old and new customers, and were happy to provide many books to fulfill their modeling needs. As always, we loved to hear that our customers are enjoying our books and looking forward to the titles coming this season.
We hope to see you again next year at IPMS 2011!
