Just in time to save you from those lazy, hazy days of August, the 2011 IPMS/USA National Convention kicked off yesterday in Omaha, Nebraska. This year’s theme, “Omaha By the Sea” might seem unusual to those familiar with the land-locked state, but is actually an apt name for the convention’s 2011 theme: the Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation.
Again this year, Casemate is a proud attendee of the IPMS Convention, which allows us the unique opportunity to visit those people from the IPMS community who we work so closely with throughout the year. In particular, we appreciate the way the convention reflects the vibrancy of the world of modeling, and it is always a special privilege for us to browse the aisles of entries in the IPMS National Contest.
Casemate representatives Sean and Larry welcome all visitors to the Casemate stand, which is stocked with all our newest arrivals and bestsellers. As always, if you are in town we hope you’ll drop by and browse for that perfect end-of-summer reading, or simply stop and say hello.
